To my dear friends and encouragers,
As you can see I have been able to gain control of the domain michaelrobertsdeadbeatdad.org. This was achieved when a third party agreed to the extortion demands by the domain's previous owner as a remedy for the horrible damage that was being done to the business and reputations of those who had been named in the web site bearing my name.
The retention of these domain names are experiments in human nature and web statistics. Notwithstanding, it has a secondary purpose to report the disposition of a few troubling issues in order that I won’t have to repeat it to my many curious friends who have checked in with me from time to time (Maybe I'll blog it all one day). This posting is in response to numerous attempts by my past employees, customers, vendors, and associates to contact me through Mile2's new ownership. I felt that it was time to step out and bring these good people up-to-date with respect to my current situation and the reason for my mysterious and sudden disappearance from the business I founded, namely Mile2 information security training.
I do appreciate all the care, empathy, and sympathy offered by my friends and business associates in response to my ordeal. But really, it’s okay, I am surviving nicely, I am content, very happily married, I have food in my stomach, a roof over my head, three beautiful children and hopefully more to come.
In a nutshell, what was once a very painful thorn in my side has been relegated to the status of an annoying mosquito. This is not to diminish the fiscal and emotional impact this individual and her family has had on me and those that stood by me, what I am saying is that she cannot steal my joy.
It is well known that I have been the victim of a relentless, vicious, and comprehensive Internet defamation/libel attack. Many were surprised by my abrupt departure from Mile2. This was done for the sake of the valuable people associated with Mile2 who were being smeared with the same mud my antagonist was throwing at me. Each person who disputed the horrible allegations against me would be harassed into submission in response. It came to the point that my very presence at Mile2 was having a detrimental effect on all those whose livelihood depended on Mile2’s success.
I am happy to see that the new Mile2 team has been able to turn it around again as a result of my “drawing the fire” elsewhere.
By God’s grace I have been able to turn adversity into opportunity. Evidently, the skills and knowledge I have acquired in the last five years defending my good name and contending with my antagonist are in considerable demand. I am by no means prospering in the traditional sense, but I am very happy to report that I am keeping my head above water and have created a few jobs in the process. I have launched a new business which provides litigation and investigation support for law firms, as well as social psychology advice and consulting for PR firms and marketing departments who are combating similar problems, but from a branding perspective as opposed to personal attacks. For the record "I don't do spin", in other words, I help innocent victims of malicious smear campaigns, not people trying to cover up their wrong doing.
Jailed at last:
Law-enforcement is beginning to see through the charming façade of my antagonist. On May 12, 2009, she or someone on her behalf posted more scathing allegations of moral and social dysfunction against me on a blog under the pseudonym “John” with a disposable 10-minute email address (as the blog administrator astutely pointed out). Ironically, that very same day she was arrested for criminal impersonation. This is her first arrest since 1991 for a firearms charge, and in 2004 when she was charged with harassment against a woman who reported her for a "murder for hire" scheme in 2004. She was acquitted for the latter although the evidence is compelling.
The libelous postings ended when she was jailed in May. After spending a short time in jail she was released on bail. Shortly thereafter at a temporary hearing she was arrested again as a fugitive pending extradition to another state for similar crimes. Eventually she appeared in that other state for a hearing. She she was released from jail again on Thursday, June 18, 2009. The anonymous and libelous attacks began the very next day (June 19th), presumably by the same person but once again under pseudonyms with disposable email addresses.
I am breathing a sigh of relief, while trying hard not to rejoice at her downfall, it is a tough balancing act but I have purposed to leave revenge and vindication to God and those to whom he has given authority on earth.

For there will be no future for the evil man;

To date she managed to have me arrested only once, that was 10-years ago for an allegation which was dismissed. Dismissal notwithstanding, the night I spent in jail was a humbling experience; that being said I would not change a thing about that night... even if I could... but that is another story (feel free to ask me about it). All of her subsequent allegations became less and less credible to the point that one senior officer gave me a hug recently when I jokingly hid my face from him when passing by.
Unfortunately, this all comes a little too late for her other the victims. Her first husband is still paying off what he claimed to be over $400,000 in legal fees defending himself against her allegations of sexual abuse of their son (who she later sent back to him when puberty kicked in). And there is the other doctor from Chicago who allegedly sexually assaulted her. He never paid the money she asked for in a confidential settlement "request", it probably would've been much cheaper just to pay her than have his career destroyed. The list goes on, but I do not feel the need to expose it all at this point. What is mentioned here is just a trifle compared to some of the most serious outstanding issues under active investigation by law enforcement in multiple jurisdictions.
